Love poems.

In the poem "Villanelle", I came to understand it is about love and how we can't contimplate what love really is. No matter how much love one may feel it is just an emotion that gives us a reason to celebrate. Yet not really knowing what lovers are really celebrating. It is complicated but this is the poem I understood the most out of the three. In "Love Calls Us to the Things of This World", the title and last sentence helped me kind of understand the meaning. Love helps us balance out our life. With all our daily tasks we do and experiences we encounter love is there to balance it out. In "Love Poem", it wasn't so clear to see but I think it is about his dear clumsy love that no matter what he would still do anything for her and love her. This love is what makes life worth waiting for. Love the person they are! Although it did kind of seem that he was making fun of her or complaining about her problems but I like the idea of him loving her no matter what!

  1. Great post, never thought of it that way. Love is a cool concept put that way.

  2. I liked your comment on how love gives a reason to celebrate and how we never know what others are celebrating. I thought you comments as a whole were better than mine and very insightful.
