Love poems.
In the poem "Villanelle", I came to understand it is about love and how we can't contimplate what love really is. No matter how much love one may feel it is just an emotion that gives us a reason to celebrate. Yet not really knowing what lovers are really celebrating. It is complicated but this is the poem I understood the most out of the three. In "Love Calls Us to the Things of This World", the title and last sentence helped me kind of understand the meaning. Love helps us balance out our life. With all our daily tasks we do and experiences we encounter love is there to balance it out. In "Love Poem", it wasn't so clear to see but I think it is about his dear clumsy love that no matter what he would still do anything for her and love her. This love is what makes life worth waiting for. Love the person they are! Although it did kind of seem that he was making fun of her or complaining about her problems but I like the idea of him loving her no matter what!

Why do we write about love?
Literature is a way for us to dream, create and fantasize. For me reading stories or poems about love gives me a sense of creativity. As I read about love of course I fall in love with the story. Ever since I was a little girl I was always told about the princess and her love story. My superiors always told me that I was a princess and that I would find my true prince one day! This for a young girl gave me hope for the future and self esteem. Love is something I love to read about! I like to write about my love to my sweetheart and I can only imagine others do too and that is why we have literature about love. Love is such a grand feeling beyond any feeling in the world and to experience it some may want to share it with the world or give others hope in finding a love like theirs. I am really excited for this week in class. Love is always fun to talk about for me. Although I would say that love should not only be written down but it should be voiced as well. Hearing the expressions of your sweethearts love for you is my favorite moments in all my life.

Why is Hamlet a tragedy?
This play was interesting. It was my first time listening to the story and to me the real tragedy was how Hamlet lost his reality. He wasn't himself once the ghost of his father told him the truth. Ophilia even noticed a difference in his attitude, personality, and stature. He began to think bad things of his mother and it seemed like he was alone and no one could be trusted. He lost all family ties through this saddening news of his uncle killing his father and then moving in on his mother. The uncle's son kind of gave a sense of superiority over Hamlet even though Hamlet is the rightful hier of the throne. It also seemed like the cousin and Ophilia were ment for each other in a sense of an arranged courtship. This play was hard to follow for me but this is what I understood.
